The Art of Connection

What is our purpose in life if not to connect with the people and nature around us? Everyone gets a limited amount of time on this earth and I believe it should be spent searching for meaning and connection to the things around us. I also. believe to do this we can start to look inwards.
In learning about other people we learn a lot about ourselves, it’s a complete cliche to say this and I think I used to roll my eyes when I hear anyone say things about “really knowing yourself” but it’s true! It’s really hard to get to know yourself, it goes hand in hand with learning about other people and starting to listen to the little voice inside that says “I kinda want to do that” or “eh not that”. If we ignore those feelings we start to believe we don’t have an internal voice driving us. Start to really listen to that voice, when you see something pretty that intrigues you, look closer. When you enjoy a conversation with someone or about something, take it all in and seek more of that type of interaction. When something makes you feel a little icky, say you don’t like it; even if only in your head!
The grandma in Moana is an absolute Baddie and she’s so right when she says “that voice inside is who you are”.
Anyway, my little voice tells me to create some fun, cute pieces of polymer clay and every 3 or 4 days it gives me a cute new idea that brings me so much joy. I love the process of creating but I love the process of meeting others who enjoy my work even more! It’s been a crazy journey so far of learning to make wonderful tiny creations, test them out and hand them over to the care of other people.
